Special General Meeting 6 April

The Radio Mansfield Committee of Management are excited to confirm that we have made progress on our journey to being able to receive tax deductible donations.  We have successfully registered as a charity with Australian Charities and Not for Profit Commission and we now need to register with the Australian Taxation Office for Deductible Gift Recipient status so we can receive donations that our donors can claim as a tax deduction.

Before we can apply to the ATO we need to register with the Register of Cultural Organisations (ROCO).  Registration with ROCO requires that we update our constitution with some clauses about how we manage the bank account that will receive donations.   Before we hold a Special General Meeting we are required to notify you of the meeting date.  The meeting will ask members to vote to accept the updated constitution so that we can finalise our application to ROCO.

A copy of the Constitution with proposed changes is available for viewing at the station.

Contact me on secretary@radiomansfield.org.au if you would like me to send you a proxy voting form to nominate someone to vote on your behalf if you can't be there.

The meeting will be held at the Radio Mansfield studio, 10 Bank Place, Mansfield on Wednesday April 6th, 2022 at 5.45 p.m.

Please register apologies via return email and signed proxy voting forms should be received at the studio prior to the meeting either by post or through hand delivery to our studio mail slot.
