November radio play - part 2 of Nelly Kelly's Moonshine
On Radio Theatre throughout November 2022, Radio Mansfield presents Part 2 of “Nelly Kelly’s Moonshine” by Longwood writer Julie van Kerkwijk.
Nelly Kelly and her performing girls ‘The Passionfruits’ arrive by train in Queenstown
… at the same as the crooked Mayor and the dodgy Barber are trying to get their greedy hands
on the gold-mining claim of the three hard-working miners we met in Part One.
And Cranky Jimmy’s arranged for a big night of fun and games at the ‘Lucky Dog’ saloon … with a bit of moonshine and two-up … along with the showgirls!
Set on the Victorian goldfields in the 1870s, this radio play is full of intrigue, drama, colourful characters ... and a healthy serving of good old-fashioned Aussie humour!
So tune in to hear the second installment of our three-part original adventure “Nelly Kelly’s Moonshine” broadcast every Sunday afternoon throughout November on “Radio Theatre” - right after the three o’clock news - on Radio Mansfield, 99.7FM.
