The Blues Bus with Keith Rogers
The person behind the face behind the voice behind the microphone - get to know our talented presenters.
Meet the legendary Keith Rogers - your knowledgeable presenter of the Monday evening "Blues Bus". Having hosted the program for close to 25 years, you're in good hands every time you tune in. Keith is also our go to man for all things technical at the station - volunteering countless hours to ensuring Radio Mansfield remains on air. He is our technical extraordinaire and we are incredibly grateful for his expertise.
Tell us Keith, if you could invite three artists (dead or alive) to a BBQ, who would they be and why?
John Mayall: grandfather of English Blues, aged 89 and still leading a blues band. A prolific songwriter, singer, and multiple instrument player, I could chat for hours with him about his views on modern blues, and where blues is heading. And I reckon he’d enjoy a good Australian Red.
Bonnie Raitt: a real evergreen, and only 74. Sung/played guitar with a lot of the music fraternity. Has had vast experience in blues rock and modern blues – my favourites.
Billie Holiday: Tragically died at 44 in 1959 after leading an equally tragic life. My absolute pick - sang jazz and blues with unmatched tonal and interpretive qualities. Has been described as having a voice that replicated many instruments. Just to have heard her live would have been incredible.
Tune in to hear Keith present a wide range of blues music every Monday evening between 7pm and 10pm.
