On Thursday 25th November, we conducted our 2021 Annual General Meeting. We thank the enthusiastic members who attended on an inclement evening. President Dallas Daniel welcomed everyone and presented her President’s report.  Considering 2021 has been a very challenging year for everyone, especially for our sponsors – all small businesses that were subjected to several lockdowns – we are very pleased and grateful that our sponsors continued their on-going support of Radio Mansfield.

Treasurer Miriam Zolin was broadcasting her program so the Treasurer’s report was read by Vice- President Laurel Lawrie.  A very through technical report was presented by Keith Rogers.

Before the election of a new committee, Dallas thanked the outgoing committee for all their hard work in what has been a challenging year.  Dallas also thanked Michael Craddock and Marg Seeber for their contributions as they would not be joining the 2022 committee.

The election of office bearers and committee took place and the following members were elected.

  • President : Laurel Lawrie
  • Secretary : Lyn Holland
  • Treasurer : Miriam Zolin

Committee :

  • Roger Nolan
  • Dallas Daniel
  • John Goldsworthy
  • Helen Goldsworthy
  • Mitchell Clarke.

New president Laurel thanked Dallas for her guidance during challenging times, her service and her capacity to deal calmly with matters. Laurel also thanked the outgoing members for their hard work in the past year. We welcomed new members and look forward to a prosperous 2022.

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to long-term Radio Mansfield presenter, President and life member, John Coffey, who passed away late last week.

An industrial chemist by trade, and a ranger by choice, John worked on Mount Stirling for a number of years before starting his own maintenance and property management business. However, as a long-term resident and well-known identity in Mansfield, for 17 years his passion was Radio Mansfield and presenting his radio programs. John really was "your voice in the high country".

We send our condolences to his family. Rest in Peace John Coffey.

The Committee of Management for Mansfield Community Radio Incorporated is inviting members, sponsors and other interested persons to its Annual General Meeting (AGM) for 2021 being held on Thursday November 25 at 6pm at the Mansfield Football & Netball Club rooms in Highett Street, Mansfield.

One of the main purposes of the AGM is the election of members to the Management Committee.  Given the important role that the Management Committee plays in the success of any organisation, all members are being asked to consider being a part of the Committee of Management for 2022. The current Committee believes it is the combination of experienced and new membership which helps to ensure continuity, accountability and the ability to effectively achieve goals.

There will also be a vote on some changes to the Station’s Constitution.

For proxy voting or nomination forms, or details on the changes to the constitution, please email: enquiries@radiomansfield.org.au
