I've been a member of the radio station since 2016, and successfully avoided being on the committee until 2020. I've always preferred working hard as volunteer in the background but it's interesting to see how it all works behind he scenes. Meanwhile, I enjoy getting sponsors on board and nurturing our relationships with them. It's very rewarding. A lifetime of voice-over and commercial radio work means I'm very comfortable behind the mic and also enjoy training new presenters.
